Get a 'Galaxy' For Your Ubuntu Desktop.

'Galaxy' is an application that simulates the motion of stars under the mutual gravitational forces of attraction.



'Galaxy' allows users to set parameters under the 'God' menu. There are eight parameters that can be set. These include the total star count, gravity,black hole mass and initial velocity etc.Click on the 'apply' button to save these parameters.




Click on the 'init' and then the 'run' button to initialize and run the galaxy just set.
An option to pause the motion is also provided.
The update rate in the unit of 'cycles per second' is displayed in the lower right corner.
A help file is provided with the application that also provides technical notes related to the physics of the motion of stars.
