Get a very simple and efficient RSS reader for the notification area of GNOME and KDE.YARSSR does its job very well.Once you click on the YARSSR icon in the Internet menu,it goes to the notification area.Initially you need to setup you feeds.Right click on the YARSSR icon in the notification area and select Preferences.Here you can create a new feed address and also edit or delete existing addresses.
You can even enable or disable a particular feed.You can also import an Ompl file.Setup your update interval time,the number of headings displayed and the browser to be used for browsing.
You can also go offline from the notification area.Right click to do so.
