Quark
Quark is a not so geeky music player daemon for geeks. It runs from the GNOME
notification area.It is an audio player based on the xine library and thus it can run multiple audio formats.Go to Sound & Video and click on quark.A quark icon would be displayed in the notification area. Right click on it to load songs and for other options of play, pause shifting tracks etc. This is a very simple music player capable of playing various formats and runs in the background.
Installation:Install via the Synaptic Package Manager.
Search for "quark" and mark it for installation.Xine-lib would also be downloaded.
